Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a Mk4 V5, and just wondered what they are like? How are they as an everyday car? And are there any common faults to be aware of? Thanks

I really like them, but they are not good on petrol.

If you can get a v6 it would be the better option not that much diff in fuel sounds better and more poke!!! Wait for the 1.8t lovers replies

Depends what you want it for.
Tunabilty - 1.8t
Cheap - 1.8t
Sound - v6
V5 seem a little pointless really as its sort of not the best for anything.
