he wants to swap me for my golf turbo  w reg(2000) 2 months mot on it and 1 month tax needs windscreen and front drivers side bush  before it goes through mot, and also chuck my pc in thats worth 1k

im in desperate need for a diesel and cant raise the cash to buy one, my pc is worth 1k although id struggle to sell it for that
Do you think its a good deal? as nobody seems to be interested in buying my 1.8t

contrary to popular belief diesels are only good on extreme distance running and at current costs of fuel your better off with a petrol if thats what your after, cant see the point in getting rid of 2 good bits of kit, your insurance should be able to sort out your windscreen out and you could easily sort the bush out too?

On short journeys upto about 8 miles the diesel will only get maybe 2mpg more the the petrol

My brother recently picked up a 150gttdi with 114000 miles  for £2200 so that gives you a idea how cheap they can be picked up.

tell your girlfriend to keep the revs below 2k as shes drinking your weekends fun juice! seriously though, in 2miles i can get my mpg in the 30's if idrive like an old granny which i am at the mo and have been for the last few months and noticed i've got £100 spare in my account for it, besides, if your important they'll wait for you

also check all pipes and what-not to ensure nothings chewing up power there, guy at the garage said i'd get better performance if i sorted out my pipe work  :nerd:
