Yes but not as much as a spacer plate

Mk4 US spec only head gasket was for a VR6 12v not the 24v as we got in the UK, and the head gasket is thinner, upping the CR by 0.5 points.

Hence why ecp won't bloody sell them

Looked everywhere to get one delivered within reasonable time
