Black woman letting off a bit of steam...
« on: 22 August 2012, 10:09 »
so it would be interesting to see what happens with this case..

http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/331223

whether or not she will be treated in the same manner as Jacqueline Woodhouse who was jailed for 21 weeks?

in my view.. the lady in the article having a little rant should be deported to wherever she wants to go to if she is that unhappy here, on the understanding that she never comes back.

I think there's an awful lot of people who deserve to be deported. I'm born Spanish and lived there till I was 8. I've now been here in the UK 13 years and although I'll always be Spanish I see myself as more British than Spanish. I respect the country, it's people and the ways. What I hate seeing is women in burkas on the street (especially if it's a nice hot day!) and hearing news stories of people suing others because of religion, like when that schoolteacher named that teddy Mohammed. God forbid we go over to their countries and let our ladies wear a skirt or shorts. We'd be stoned to death.

Wow.

I think it will be interesting to see the outcome of this, unfortunately I'm sure the outcome will be different to that of Jacqueline Woodhouse. If this is the case then it would appear that racism only works one way.

Kudos to the guy that challenged her, and the round of applause that he gained for it.

I think you would be fine in africa with a skirt

Its very easy to generalise in these circumstances... and really thats what racism is all about. Putting people in a box with a label. Take everyone as a individual and you will soon see the similarities with regular people like yourself.

e.g. she just wants to go back home but there are obviously no easyjet flights to africa, although this may change in the near future. Prime example of someone angry at themselves.... but taking it out on others.

Nothing will happen with this case. She's black, she's allowed to do that and she'll receive police protection to carry on doing so.

The do f**king good middle class and the media have made the police and government scared to serve justice when the offender isn't white or from this country.

Well for most of the video she is saying how proud she is to be black etc.. then she end by saying she hates white people.

This is not illegal.

It's illegal to discriminate, but not to say you hate white/black people.

Lots of fuss about nothing.

Saying she hates white people is racist and that is illegal. She has made discrimination, as she's discriminated the difference between black and white.

It's a lot of fuss, but it's not over nothing.

That's awful..... they should throw the book at her although I suspect nothing will happen

On another note.....

Has anyone noticed how the Rio 'Choc ice' tweet has been swept under the carpet by the FA..... i.e. he gets a quick and private hearing before the beginning of the season and just a 45k fine

Suarez gets an 8 game ban and Terry still faces the same even ban even proven not guilty in the court of law.

No, I'm correct on this one. You are incorrect.

You are probably thinking of The Race Relations Act (1976) this is protection against discrimination where goods and services are provided etc..

To simply say you hate black/white people is not illegal.

If you incite racial hatred through publications/speeches etc.. then you can be arrested as that's illegal.

Clearly she isn't.

Have a read of the Public Order Act (1986)
