Yes thats tell tale sign of water pump starting to fail

not too bad a job to change though seeing as it driven using aux belt and not timing belt. Couple of hours to replace. Try to buy a complete pump and not just a new impeller side

Be very careful when refitting the water pump. Make sure the o-ring is seated correctly, and slowly offer up the pump to the block.

Hold the pump firmly - don't let it slip - as you tighten the bolts, as even the slightest movement of the o-ring from it's seat will result in a leak, and a deformed o-ring.

This is what I found when replacing my water pump.

Careful with the bolts too, especially if you've got aircon fitted. The double ended bolts holding the pump and compressor are almost a tenner each.

99.9% of UK cars don't have Air Con unfortunately... It's one thing I would like to fit... But I don't hold out much chance of getting one....
