Me neither, or he front quarter window.

They are two of the design features on my Leon which I don't like, shame.

The mirror on the door and quarter light hark back to the Mk1, but I really don't like them on a modern car. The mirrors remind me of a Pug 207.

Also in the pictures in the original link, they show a fugly rear with the number plate in the tailgate, yet the wrapped up car has it in the bumper. Let's hope it's the latter.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Golf VI, the new model will be 56 mm longer, 13 mm wider and 28 mm lower, measuring 4255 mm in length, 1799 mm in width and 1452 mm in height. In addition, the wheelbase will be 59 mm longer, while the track widths will be 8 mm longer at front and 6 mm at the back.

It will also have a 30-liter larger boot, for a grand total of 380 liters, while the overall width of the floor is going to be 228 mm bigger than before, standing at 1,272 mm. The loading lip will sit at 685 mm (17 mm less than before) so loading the car will be easier, while the boot's aperture width has increased to 1023 mm (up by 47 mm).

Ulrich Hackenberg who is VW’s head of development confirmed that the Golf VII will feature a progressive steering system that will provide various levels of assistance and also five different driving profiles: Eco, Sport, Normal, Individual and Comfort.

Towards the end of next month, Volkswagen will preview the hotter GTi version at the Paris Motor Show that is expected to get an updated version of Audi’s 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged, direct-injection gasoline engine with 222 hp (165 kW / 225 PS).

When we're getting into details like tiny front quarter lights and wing mirrors attached to the door skins it makes me wonder just how similar it will be to the forthcoming Leon

I think the Seat looks good, and the Cupra R will look even nicer, something to consider as an alternative.

Never! I'm gonna hold out for the R.

Also hoping to hold out for the R, current lease expires Nov of 2014, wonder if R will be out by then. Funny, I remember reading somewhere that VW was aiming to release the GTi and R much earlier than before, so they would be out for longer of the production run. Will have to wait and see I guess.
