I notice a lot of these rendered images show the wing mirror attached to the door skin and not the frame..

I'd take it with a pinch of salt as non of the artist impressions show this shocking quarter lite window either?

All the spy shots i've seen have the same mirrors as the mk6 but whether they are just mules or not i'm not sure? They tend not to cover the mules as much though.

I would say, from the spy shot below of the actual vehicle, that the mirror is definitely attached to the door skin and the small triangle infront of the side window is the quarter light.

But then I could be completely wrong

When we're getting into details like tiny front quarter lights and wing mirrors attached to the door skins it makes me wonder just how similar it will be to the forthcoming Leon

They could be mounted to the door, it's hard to tell but they're definately the same mirror housing as the mk6.
