Vr6 Maf question
« on: 19 August 2012, 21:14 »
When fitting a Vr6 Maf sensor do you require a different TIP or is the normal Forge TIP ok?
Engine code is AUM.

I have used the search function and nothing comes up.

depends what spec he's going for doesn't it Chris?

You would never fit a VR6 housing or sensor though, as it's the totally wrong type for an AUM. if you require a larger housing for an AUM, you use the S3 / LCR / TT housing, and you can retain your sensor in the larger housing.

If you're on the ko3S though it's not needed, although many tuners will want one for a hybrid.

Cheers Prawny, The car in question has been having problem with the maf,
If was failing every so often, The induction kit was replaced with a standard airbox and filter,
It ran great for a few months, Fitted a new piper cross panel filter, Dry filter so no oil and 3 days later the MAF has failed again.
Anyone know why?
