Hey Guys,

I want to ask you lot if this sounds like anything to you?

Basically I noticed awhile ago that my secondary air pump sounded like a tractor when you first start the car (for about 90 sec) then id get a pissssttt noise and then the cars revs would settle, Id like to point out for that 90 odd sec the car would also be splittering a tad.

Anyhoo I noticed in an old topic that someone else created asking about this problem and someone posted a link to a fix, (when you remove the pump drill out the rivets and replace with bolts/split washers etc)

I did this and replaced it to the car as it was removed.

Now the loud tracktor sound has gone on startup BUT im still getting a slight sputtering for the first 90 sec or so, Also my car is now not Boosting as it used too. What I mean by that is I can hear the turbo spooling when I give it abit but there seems to be no pulling then all of a sudden I will get a boost and im thown back into my seat....

Im finding this very strange and apart from fixing this pump the only other thing I have changed in the DV (I put on a forge 007p copy, basically the same as the 007 just not branded).

Lastly this isnt all the time, drove to work yesterday morning and she drove perfect, then driving home, No boost.

I will plug my VDS lite in when I get home from work tonight and see what codes are there if any but wanted some food for thought as they say.

Sorry for the essay and thankyou for taking the time to read it, looking forward to seeing your comments. :)

Start by switching the dv back an seeing if it still happens So you can narrow it down a little

Will do, Im guessing this is going to be Air related maybe the turbo is being starved of air or my pump is nackard.

I dont realtek know how the pump could cause it as it is only operational the first 90 secs the car is started unless some of the pipe work is broke and that's causing it  :undecided:
