sounds like slow speed setting on the sensor was broke, or the slow speed on fan. some models have 2 speed fans, 1st comes on at 95ish, 2nd at 108ish

fogive me 4 being stupid but still unsure what 2 do had water pump fan swiich and the stat do plus head gasket  dne whats next

i seem to have very simalar probs with my mk1! can anyone tell me what the other two sensors (one behind and one underneath) near the temp sensor are and would they cause problems if not working propaly!
