you can buy new coilovers for 150,160 quid id just buy them as in the long run you will want to go lower as even with a 35 mm drop its still as high as a 4x4

thinking about lowering my car with springs 30-35mm what are the pros and cons of doing this

Pros
- Relatively cheap

Cons
- Paired with standard shocks they will provide a crap ride.
- Shocks will wear prematurely
- Fixed height
- Don't go low enough
- You'll wish you'd bought coilovers

so whats the lowest and highest i can go on coilovers

That depends entirely on the coilovers you buy, although most lower ~30-80mm

+1 on what doms said.

pros on lowering springs WITH matching shocks
better ride quality than coilovers(less harsh)

depends what you want, few hundred and you could have a really good set of springs and shocks.
400-500 and you could have a really good set of coilys such as weitech ect,

If your going to fit springs then go for a matched spring / shock kit.

Try and avoid cheap coilovers
