Dension — MK5 Golf GTI
« on: 12 August 2012, 07:49 »
Hi Guys, sorry for the potential newbie question. But yesterday I bought a MK5 Golf GTI (DSG). I'm over the moon with it but there's one thing that's bugging me. It has a Denison dock in the center column — but no instructions or explanation from the dealer of how to use it. Apart from, "it'd be easy enough to cut the wire".

The sound system (6 disc multichanger) works perfectly. However after more than an hour of Googling and 'try by doing', I can't seem to figure out how on earth to get my music to play out of the car from either an iPod or iPhone! Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated. I've linked some images to help illustrate what I'm working with.

The basic ones just connect to the aux-in and you control the music via the ipod still. Others work via the cd changer controls. Hard to tell what you have actually got there, it got any model numbers to then help you look up the manual on dension.com?

Jv, thanks for the reply. There's no evidence of what model Dension I've actually got. I email their help desk, but didn't get any response. I keep trying the aux/cd changer every so often to see if I'm able to trick it into working...so far that hasn't worked. Will keep trying.
