got a knocking noise when moving off.

I've got a knocking noise coming from the front you can feel it
Through the pedals on 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th gear. But when
You put your foot down you can't feel it and its only when you
Pull off its there. I've had new wishbones fitted last week and since then
It's been doing it I've replaced the arb bushes for oem ones
New own drop links. Thought it could be the exhaust after checking
For what it could be noticed the cat rubbers had dropped so replaced that
The center bracket wasn't attached so I fitted a cat back stainless
Steel exhaust fitted and driving back the noise got worse
So I'm at my wits end now I'm throughing money at left right and center
Now I don't feel safe driving it.
      Any ideas

engine mounts most likley id say. start with the bottom 'dog bone' mount under the gearbox

Ok will have a look at the dogbone. Should there be any movement
In it if should it be solid?

there should be a little movement but nothing excessive

Ok i'll check in the morning. If its ok then that would leave top suspension rubbers
Because apparently they make a knocking feeling and sound I read on Google. I hope it is the dogbone
I don't fancy doing top suspension mounts

I checked the dogbone rubber it looked a bit iffy
So replaced it today and it is still making the same knocking
Noise. The garage said its sounding like a transmission fault
They're going to check for other things for knocking noise so I hope
It's not the gearbox on the way out.

gearboxes usually whine and crunch before they let go so it should be ok.ive just re read it, check all the bolts on ur wishbones are ok, did you change the balljoints at same time as the wishbones? it might be good to jack the car up and have a yank on things to see what moves. also did the noise impeove after swapping the engine mount?

Yeah ball joints were changed at the same time I checked that the bolts
On the wishbones were tight. The knocking noise is quieter after
Changing the dogbone. I popped it to garage and they
Checked every thing was tight aswell and they said could be the
Diff.  So more money to be spent on it but when do you draw the
Line on it and change to a newer car?

Could it be the other engine mounts a mate from work asked?

As anyone heard of a diff on a front wheel drive failing hence the knocking?

Would it be the fly wheel degrading as the inspection cover was missing
And I replaced the other month?

Yep my diff punched a hole in itself last week.
