ABS problem

Around 3/4 weeks ago my abs light came on. I thought it was just a faulty sensor as had no end of problems with them on my old MK3.

Couple of days ago they abs light turned off, but this is when the problems start. When I apply the brake pedal I get no end of judder/vibration and noises. I guess this is the abs kicking in when it is not suppose to?

When the abs light comes back on, which it does every now and then, the judder/vibration goes away again.

Will it just be the sensor that is the problem?

Check the fuses ontop of battery.  :cool:

Still having problems with this.

Asked the dealers if they could run a Vag-com check, £65!! Sod that

Anyone round Manchester way with a Vag-com do it cheaper?

locals could charge between 15 and 40 however cash in hand and they probably wont apply vat if you ask nicely  :wink:

If there is a fault with the ABS then it will be logged and scanning with Vagcom will identify it.

Don't book it into a garage without having it scanned first - I'm sure there must be a forum member near you with vagcom?
