once mine is warm it normally sits around the 800ish mark, are you saying that is sits at 700rpm even from cold?

Normally it's arround 850/900 when it's at work tempetarute and when it's cold engine but Here we are at 35 degrees and ever works at 800 rpm...

Maybe it's a Dirty idle valve? where is it?

this it is my engine

Code AGG

a dirty throttle body can cause low idle

if that doesn't work vag-com and then check vacuum pipes for splits

Does it run better when it's warm? Could be temp sensor that's shorted out and making your ECU think it's hot?!

Here's how you measure it in a nutshell:

arent they both just lying there un-connected to the left of that intake pipe and bottom right of the intake pipe . can see the temp sensor plug and either a HID kit of the MAF unit ?

I just zoomed in on that area and there is what looks like the top plastic electrical box from the MAF sat there. But looking closer think it may be as you say a HID ballast.
I can't see temp sensor or MAF tunnel anywhere.
Have you just bought this car mate?
