Mechatronics vs remap

Is it poss for my revo remap to cause damage to my dsg mechatronics! Would like to find out if a power boost could be proven to do this?

in my experience a standard car is just as likely to have mechatronics issues as a tuned car. i can't think how you could actually prove it one way or another though

If a part is worn or damaged a remap will considerably accelerate the problem

I know of someone who damaged their megatronics in 8000km with mods. A remap will not damage it. Launching hard all the time will cause issues.

If you have a car remaped and then kick its head in ALL the time then guess what it won't last as long as a standard its daft to think it would. if you have a standard car and kick its head in ALL the time that won't last long either. In my experience if you map a car and drive it like a human and change your oil you won't have any more problems than a standard car.

VW tech guys said that the mechatronics is the ECU that controls the gearbox so I fail to see how putting any amount of extra power through the engine would have any effect on another components ECU
