2002 Mk4 Golf Gti 1.8T ... Remap?

Just Purchased a 1.8t Golf gti and was wondering if its worth getting a stage 2 remap for £260.

has anyone had one and was it worth it? ..

also anyone know if my insurance would really need to know   :rolleyes:

Cars standard at the moment but i am planning on fitting a stainless turbo back exhaust system and a performance air filter if thats what you mean

they do scan cars ecu's (not all but is it worth the risk?)

yeah was hoping i wouldnt have to fit a fmic due to the work involved =/

looks like ill probably give a remap a miss seeing as im not wanting to destroy a great car.

and chances are i would have told my insurance  :nerd:

You can still have a remap without a fmic, yours should be an AUM with it being a 2002. That means you'll have a KO3s turbo, with a Forge d/v and a panel filter mine mapped to 205bhp & 245lb/ft. It completely transforms the car :cool:
