I'd just like to point out that this modification was carefully executed (in a pikey manner) - the length and diameter of the screw was carefully chosen to suit the application and the OEM locking mechanism was removed when the new fixing was applied.

The screw is also lighter than the original mechanism, ergo it is a racing modification.

I hope it's stainless so the dreaded mk3 tin worm doesn't get a hold of it!  :grin:

So, you ARE modifying the Mk3  :lipsrsealed:

True, I have witnessed some of the other mods, one of my favourites had to be the boost gauge's original mounting.  :cool:  :grin:
