I just spoke to Ben at R-Tek and he said the fault could be because I have T'ed off from the pipe above the Dv and into my boost gauge that could be causing it... Does this sound right??

Hello again,

I have another question regarding the boost gauge..I bought a digital boost gauge and fitted it yesterday,,looks mint,,
Now driving normal my boost figure is for example -7 psi to -5 and when I put my foot down....it go's up to 6 to 7 psi...does this mean im running at 7psi or 14 psi boost...Im back at R-Teck next week for a check up on my remap but I don't want to look a idiot with them..thinking im not getting the right boost pressure...
Thanks
Eugene

if its holding at 7psi then thats what your boosting to it will sit at minus on idle think most ppl including mine sit at around -18-20 on idle but i then boost to around 18psi and hold at 14-15psi thats on my stage 1 map

i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!

losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

what is the figure on tickover mate. -7psi is -15 in hg which is about right for normal driving.

Any car runs on vacuum (minus figures) with normal driving. It's only when you reach 0 do you start to read boost (positive figures)

Mine sits at -8 on idle and boosts to 1.1bar (16psi) and thats on a K03 carbon map
