I'm sure I could show you some stunning mk4's that would make you all want one  :lipsrsealed:

bet you couldn't, could maybe show some nice mk4s but I would never want one  for the same reason I would never want a bmw, some may look ok but they are as common as mud

And mk3's arnt?

Considering you own one i would expect more support.

Yeah me too, and there seem more common to you cause you own one

But there must be at least 10 mk4s to every mk3 I see. I did pass a very nice light blue Vento today tho!  don't see many of them

Yes there are some very nice mk4s out there but same can be said for ANY car. A car is what the owner makes it. But I see alot more nice mk3's and it don't take as much o make a mk3 look good.
For me the mk3 is at that cool age where there is plenty out there still but is just becoming hard to find a good one. So there's plenty of spares and parts and has the old school ish look to it. No other golf looks as good slammed with nice rims.
I am defo hooked on them now.
I am on a stupidly tight budget and totaly skint all the time since I got made redundant yet I was still able to make a cool looking car that gets the nod and people looking all the time and cost me less than a grand so far and that includes the cost of the car. Brand new coilys. Brand new nice rear lights. New exhaust. And lots more and I have not even spent a grand wich is awesome.

in my opinion the mk3 was the crossing over point to more mature upmarket hatch

the mk4, well i would agree is the worst lol!

coming from a history of alot of french hot hatch lunacy, i love my mk3 vr6, its comfy, spacious and roars when it wants to, fits the bill :)

have to agree on that one yes

which part did you agree with?

the bit about vr6 roaring when it wants to

mk3 has always been my favourite golf. I'd say a majority of the haters are just on the bandwagon

But the mk4 has the r32, the 2.8 4motion and the 1.8t gti

Yes the mk3 was great for it's time but it isn't now, where as the mk4 is still good even for today. The 1.8t was so good it went in every vag car!

1.8t mk3 golf = fun!
