coolant hose exploding :(

Guys i need some help, my top hose on the vr6 decided to let go and explode

The car had only just got up to temp but i lost probably 70% of the water out of it!

I filled it up with water and drove it home and all was fine!

I drove the car yesterday and is now miss firing 

The car has had new plugs and leads! could the water have runied the coil pack? or is it head gasket failure?

I would try a block leak test myself matey to see if the head and head gasket may be damaged

the car has was running fine, the oil temps and water temps were fine driving it yesterday then the miss fire started

might be an idea to check to see if all your plugs are sparking then, water down the spark plug holes could cause the plugs to arc out and cause a misfire, il also check to see if the plugs are actually wet around the electrobe, this could show signs of internal leakage again. If you dont have spark on just cranking it could be something non related to what happend with you previous water loss.

My mate has a block leak tester so will get him to check any way, its a quick easy job

I need to take my schrick off again anyway as my new rocker gasket is leaking

yeh its always good to elimate stuff, if there no problem with the block test then you can start looking down the electrical side of things

Water on the coil pack?  does it have a coil pack?  Cant remember if the VR does or not
