Clocks are in with MTE and lit needles!

namely me.  :embarassed:

I'm just after some basic instructions on what I have to do to code my cluster in when I fit it. I have VAG TACHO and VAG COM ready to do everything (SKC pull, mileage correction, key coding) but I'm just not 100% on how to code the new cluster in.

I know there is a step by step guide on the Ross-Tech site but it seems a bit long winded and I'm rubbish at following instructions lol

Any help is much appreciated

Old_no7 Neil is the man to speak to though he says the ross tech is the best guide to use

Yeah I've dropped Neil an email but no reply yet. I'm just worried about using that guide as it says it's for immo3 cars whereas mine is originally immo2 :undecided:

not for coding the clusters but there is one on there for doing the keys which is now saved in my favourites :wink:

One thing I'd be weary of is the ability of VAG TACHO to actually pull the SKC code from your clocks.

I tried coding in Jamie's spare set the other week and it came up with a code which I entered but it was having none of it  :undecided:

I'll bear that in mind mate. At least I've got my old clocks to fall back on if it all goes wrong. What version were you using?

EDIT - I'll try VAG TACHO on my clocks later and see if they pull the right code :wink:

Urm think its 2.1 or 2.2  :undecided:  It's a few years old but the couple of times Iv'e tried coding it NEVER seems to have pulled the SKC code  :undecided:

Did you add the 0 in front?

Neil has come through for me, what is worrying is that his email looks to be stuff he's pulled straight out of his head, think he's got the process etched in his brain  :laugh:

Anyways I'll give it a go later, still can't find an outside temp sensor but I'll just run some cable out under the scuttle panel and leave it there for when I pick one up or just test out this Passat one I've got
