rear axle bushes

I need new rear axle bushes and I've been thinking about powerflex bushes but on researching it have read a lot of bad experiences with them so am having second thoughts

How long would standard Febi bushes last on a lowered car? Anyone here fitted powerflex bushes to their rear axle?

Ive got a polybushed rear axle and its fine, and there so much easier to replace than the normal metal/rubber bushes.

yeah the easy factor is why I considered them in the first place, found a thread on Vortex though which had a lot of bad points about them. How long have you had them fitted?

Great summery in that thread on Vortex. These are the exact reasons I've never fitted poly bushes to any of my cars, I'd much rather stick with new OEM parts and allow the suspension to actually work as it was designed to.

Why (Rear) Poly Bushings Are Bad

Ive only had the car on the road two weeks so can't really say anything other that the run good at the moment and are well greases up but all the rest of my suspension is new. I'm not put off by that article as if I get a problem i'll just change them for other poly's. Turns a job that would normally take all afternoon into half an hour.

All depends on how the car is driven but if I was using I would expect a good few years out them.

Febi it is then! Can get the bushes and the tool for the price of powerflex ones everyones a winner!

I fitted febi plus these inserts,so kind of somewhere in between standard and poly.
