vw golf mk4 upgrade spec

hi guys im on my second golf this one dosnt seem to have other stuff my other golf had and i was wondering if certan things can be done, my old golf had the computer in the clock can i add this? also it had rear seat headrests and a rcd 200 and rain sensers can i add all these to my current golf thanks

dunno depends what things are going to cost perfer the rcd 200 to the gamma tape and cd so thats top of the list, and i like the bora vents is that a big job?

There is a couple of guides for the bora vents, buy loom off ebay or make your own from VW repair wires and connectors (details in the topics)

RCD 200 yes fairly easy to fit but what year is your Golf? as the RCD 200 is a canbus unit so will need either a wiring adaptor and canbus wires running to instr. cluster (2001>) or a wiring adaptor with canbus emulator (>2001)

its a 2000, im new to all this were do i get the repair wire and connectors and how much are they? thanks

The loom can be made utilising the original plug, (part number 1J0 973 119) but you will need to purchase the corresponding sockets from VW (part number 1J0 973 332) and three repair wires for the terminals (part number 000 979 131),

Also instead of repair wire you can buy terminals on their own.. N10318905 @ £0.39 + VAT each to fit the connector quoted above. Then you just need some 0.50mm wire in colour(s) of your choice or original colours if preferred :)
