I have literally lost all Olympic spirit.

Do you know how hard it is to be polite to the general public for 12hours a day while telling them that they cannot bring nail scissors/bottles of water & aerosols into the Olympic park........Will be my 8th 15+hr day in a tomorrow. Had enough, bring on Sunday.

Could be worse, you could be on three weeks summer leave right now, and watching it on telly.  :lipsrsealed:

is it me or is the beach volleyball totally nonsense, they are not even attractive  tits like bee stings

I hear you. I made several conscious efforts to go looking for it on the red button. In some of the earlier rounds the totty wasn't that bad, (one of the Italians anyway) but on the whole extremely disappointing. However, as mentioned, the Dutch hockey team has some pretty fit women in it.

scarr89, hang on in there mate. :afro: When we went to the footy in Manchester I said to everyone to just imagine you're going through customs and treat it the same. Some people will just never get it.
......now officially dubless.

what you have done, YOU, personally, have made the games happen... if it wasn't for YOU working your 12 hour shifts then the safety of the Olympic Park would have been compromised and God only knows what might have happened. So here is to YOU. Without YOU London 2012 would not have happened safely! We salute YOU. :afro:

One more shift for me tonight, and it is only a 5 hour one!

Hoping to get drawn out of the hat for a number of tickets we have for the closing ceremony!

Thanks for the quotes above guys! The public have been very welcoming and thankful, bar a few, which is great to hear and does keep me going to some extent! Especially when the Yanks try to give you a tip and want to hug you!!

I just feel that the guys that are doing all the work won't get much recognition, all of the high rankers will get the credit and MOST of the publicity is talking about how well the 'Army' are doing, where as there is 0000's of RAF and Navy personnel!

Unfortunately this is always how it goes. Even commentators only seem to mention Army personnel.

Thats because his name is Henry....

Full name Henry Charles Albert David Windsor
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
