Is it possible to remove the gear box without having to bleed the system?
Can I remove the clutch slave cyclinder with the pipes still attached

Its easier to remove the slave still on gearbox. Bleeding is easy with a mate.
You changing the clutch I take it?

Just unbolt the slave then you don't have to bleed it
