Its a vw breakers by me who also build and repair in there workshop, the engine and other bits he said will cost me £500 then £200 labour.... There doing some minor bits for me today so i will do some more digging

200 labours 10hours at my garage. I charge 400 if they have all the parts already. I think so far I've spent 100 pound as I bought a full a3 for 300 and broke it for spares.

Not really something that should be done on the cheap and £200 is stupid money that suggests they are going to bodge it.
