Mk2 8v, 1 owner from new, FSH, Only 25,000 miles

Evening All

This has got to be one of a very select few of VW GTI 8V  3 door cars around, for sale on a private  auction site is a Mk2 8v, 1 elderly owner from new, FSH, Only 25,000 miles, it is a 90 on an H plate, big bumpers etc, no roof though;(, serviced by VW every two years,odd time more often,it has 13 VW stamps, and also has last 8 MOT Certificates to back the mileage up,all good bodywork and underneath,

 I am busting to buy it but my question is how much do I go to in order to own this one off motor?
Got £4,000 in my mind, what are your thoughts?



Would make  a real show car that's for sure.

£4K would be a great price but I would expect £6-8K...   :wink:

BUT if you were thinking about it as a daily I would be expecting a few big bills - as things will need replacing from lack of use as much as from over use....

Has it been garaged?

TBH I wouldn't want it (Unless I won the lottery) as its as much a sin to not use a MK2 as it is to wreck one by putting on stupid mods.... :nerd:

Buy a "just broken in" valver for £1000.

Spend £2500 tarting it up.

Spend £500 on Hookers.
