I Was accused of being racist once. I called a black co worker a lazy cnut, which he certainly was, always on one of his 3 phones, sitting with his feet on his desk, leering at pretty much any woman that went by.

He complained and made it a race thing, that i was talking down to him, and racially stereotyping. I wasnt, he was just a lazy cnut, and thats what i said to the manger in the special gay arse interview.

He was sacked 2 weeks later for refunding imaginary deposits onto his mates credit cards ......not stereotyping

Racism is in the eye of the receiver, not the giver.

Although being a racist is very much in the eyes of the giver.

Agreed. But not every person who is racist goes around shouting their mouth off at blacks/other races, the daily mail does that for them  .

I feel being racist should only be 'looked at' if it is, for example, like portrayed in films (American history X) & OR if being heavily 'dished' like some football hooligan giving his local derby rival abuse on a Saturday. I know people who have been beaten up/abused for being fat/ginger.

Where do you draw the line? :undecided:

Doesn't matter if they shout racist obcenities or not, there still in that mindset. Being a racist is just another form of tainted human behavior which stems from many other forms of division among the human race. It does not need to be spoken to exist, although its only when it is spoken its heard about. I don't really understand why people are like that, why they would treat someone else like that in that way.

I agree to some extent what you say. Are you saying for example, my grand father, and I imagine quite a few other elderly people, is quite racists. He actually asked my brother how many 'niggers' he had killed when he got back from Afghan  :lipsrsealed:  He doesn't shout about it, inwardly racists I suppose. Does that mean he should be punished?

Lets take you being a horrible sweaty sock  and me a nasty fickle English man, if I called you skirt wearing fat ginger surely that is the same as calling a black person a thieving black thingy? Both based on some what of a stereo type?

It is now a industry that generates money for greedy lawers.  Most of the ignorant people can be sorted out by companies.

Over to the FA now to 'start' the investigation.  Funny that he was selected for the 2012 tornament then before trial........................

If their a racist their a racist. Unless its in a humorous sense, then it can be either or i guess. Stereotyping is the problem, an intolorance based on colour but your right its the same as any sort of discrimination. I do see alot with the older generation too, but I guess they grew up in a very different world than to what we do now. As they say, ''Things were different back then''.

So perhaps racism should be renamed sterotypingism? And in wrongly sterotyping someone should lead to fines/criminal records/jail? I feel it all boils down to education. Which, in my opinion (7 years ago) was pretty decent, and I wasn't taught to be racist/prejudiced in any way. Yet people still 'bullied' fat/ginger/people with glasses/braces, in which case if they were caught being a bully they would get menial punishment compared to if they called an Asian zipper head or an Indian a paki...What do you think the Gvt/legal system would say to someone if they reported being called a fat ginger faced specky twit?

So what X Chinese man finds racists wouldn't be to Y Chinese man? What happened to precedent?
