adaptor for locking wheel bolts missing

Hello all, I am a new meember having bought my Mk4 1.8 Turbo three weeks ago. Love it to bits so far, but nervous that when I inevitably want to take a wheel off I have no adaptor/key.

Bolts are the internal spline type if that makes sense; contacted VW dealer and they won't sell me a new adaptor, but will remove existing bolts for me and fit a new set for £50 plus labour. Seems steep to me, but I also don't want to get stuck at side of road with flat tyre locked to car and perfectly good spare in the boot...

Any ideas please?

you could drill the locked ones off..... for the sake of £50 I would just get it done

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

was hoping to be able to buy a key for existing bolts. did this for wife's galaxy a couple of years ago and sure it was only about twenty quid

could always give it a go, but at the very least you'll have to post a pic of the lock nut on here.
most people keep the keys for the exact reason you are experiencing

Hurrah for local independent specialists! these guys www.millroadgarage.co.uk got me a new key for £15 whilst doing some other work for me.

I will return.
