Should this red thing that the green arrow is point at, be there in/on the metal wire in the MAF??

cant see it too well, remove the sensor from the housing via the 2 screws and slide the sensor part out

What type of screw thing is it?? I don't seem to have anything that fits it!

I have not got one of them. I just drove down to Halfords and asked there, but they don't sell them!! i shown it to the manager there and he thinks its just a piece of fluff, that is caught on the metal wire plate. He told me to blow it through with an air compressor!

just be careful if you do. I've just cleaned the spare MAF I got off Jamie with some electrical contact solvent cleaner from Maplin

Well I cant see it on the pic, but when I dissected one it did have a casing around one of the wires that was red

I went and got some electrical contact cleaner from Halfords, and the manager shown me on the computer the review that it was good for cleaning a MAF.

Hopefully it will work!
