Cannot get into 3rd gear.

I got into my car after work yesterday and after pulling away found out that my car would not go into 3rd gear, it had been fine on the way into work. I released the clutch and pressed down again but still no luck. All the other gears were fine.

It has now started to get a bit more difficult to go into all the other gears, i'm having to force them in.

Is this likely to be the clutch, gearbox or gear linkage that has gone?

I would say its the gear linkage by the sounds of it!

mine does this and then other times its fine, i just WD40/grease the gear stick base regularly (dont know technical name  )
