100 quid for gti door ,,

Had no luck on ebay in finding a decent drivers door for my 3dr GTI, 
Just contacted a local Volkswagon specialist,
He has 1 there but wants 100 quid an says its really good, 
Is this about the going rate then

I would expect it to be near perfect for that figure... But as you say they are getting hard to find...

If it's a full door with all the parts on it you "Could offset" the cost by selling the other parts!!

Rust isn't just the issue what about dints/dents???

I havnt seen it yet, Only spoke 2 bloke on the fone
They all mint over the fone though arent they

Could not replace my sills so my paint guy got an old door cut the pannel out and welded it up can that not be done to another door using the good skin off a bad door?

YEAH!! Aren't they just... I bought one from a scrapper in Wigan once and it was total c3ap when it arrived -

Told me it was mint - covered in rust!!

So long as the Door shell has zero rust, hadn't been butchered and repaired around the door handle. and was not full of filler, then I'd be happy to pay £100 for a good door, iirc these things were well over £250 brand new back in the day... I think the days of a £30 door are few and far between!
