Rcd 510 radio taking long time to start

Has any one had this problem? When I turn the key once it comes on fine but when I turn on the ignition it goes blank and takes 5-10 mins to come back on? Is this a common fault

5-10 mins not norm but usually a bit laggy for the first few mins while it's booting up

Never timed how long it takes to come on probably less than a minute, never really noticed but 5 mins is not right, take it your dealer to get them to take a look. You can reboot them but can't remember how to do this, might work?

It shouldn't be doing that at all. It's a bit slow when you press media and it reads all the albums on a usb stick (don't know about an ipod), but I'm only talking about a couple of seconds.

^^^^this, my RNS does this...it's going into VW on Monday cus it froze on me the other day, it was quite weird cus everytime I went to turn up or down the volume the bar instead of being red wud be blue and the only time it shud be blue if for the nav...thankfully at the time of the fault I was near my dealers so I went there straight away so they cud see the fault in action...this fault has happened previous but as it was a intermittent fault there was no point in telling the dealer....

Definitely shouldn't do this, did you spec it with the car or did you retrofit it?
