new to forum.....help appreciated
« on: 03 July 2012, 19:42 »
Hi, brought my first Golf last month, mk 4, metallic black. There's alot i want to do with the car, but have no idea where to start as
never done any of this before so any help is appreciated. wink

First of all i wanted to lower the car, not too extreme, been researching through some threads on the forum and 50mm front, 40mm rear
seems perfect.  smiley

Whilst looking through the 'dub projects' there seemed to be a few other things i want now!! Catch can seems A MUST  nerd, anni kit, induction kit  rolleyes
to list a few...

Anyone that has any decent info to give me, i'd appreciate it alot!!

Kris

Check for split PCV hoses, forge 007p, R-Tech remap. Then go play

Beyond that you need about another 1k worth of supporting mods for an extra 20-30bhp.

(Providing you've got an AUM/AUQ)

I would say it becomes necessary, because once you start (especially after a remap) you need to keep modding other bits to stop loosing the power all the time  and make sure you got deep pockets LOL

BTW Welcome to the forum KrissKross
Mods: R-Tech custom remap, Beachbuggy K250 Turbo, Forge 007 DV, RAMAIR Jetstream 108 induction filter, silicone piping throughout, R-Tech Supersize TIP, 42 Draft Stealth Catch Can, N249 bypass, Ported Manifold, Toyo Sports FMIC with 2 & 1/2 pipes, Custom made full turbo back exhaust & 2 & 1/2 " downpipe and 200 cell sports cat.
