Battery in key fob
« on: 30 June 2012, 08:23 »
The mk4 I'm doing work on the key fob doesn't work so I thought it was the battery in the fob, I have opened the fob and can't see a battery, am I just being thick or do they not have replaceable batteries?

As in synced to the remote locking??  Changing the battery doesnt affect the immobiliser part of the key.  Well, it didnt on mine  :smug: and it shouldnt do on anyones

You can re-sync the key providing you have a second key or vagcom  :nerd:

The battery needed is a CR2032, like these. 25p a battery. Cheap as chips.
