i had issues when the car was cold. i would accelerate and it would miss and wouldnt go anywhere

i changed the dump valve to a forge 007. the issue was 99% gone

latelly the same symptoms have come back. maybe not as bad but still there. sometimes hesistations through the revs

it doesnt seem to do it when its warm at all though. never has done.

i have checked over as many pipes as possible. replacing any that were abit dodgy.

there seems to be a pss noise like a dump valve in the engine bay. i gather a gentle whoosh is normal. it seems to come from around the injector side but its hard to pin point.

do the valves get noisy with age. my car has got 160k on the clock. its starting to make a weird noise from the cam belt or head area. once revved its not there.

When your accelerating is the turbo spooling?

er what does this mean lol?

i drove to work today and it didnt seem too bad

if i had a boost leak surely it would do it all the time, it never does it when warm

the point im getting at, is that you shouldnt be putting your foot down while its cold.  i more or less ride the clutch until it warms up to at least 40-50!!  i did once give it some when it was cold and it just coughed and spluttered!

So in summary, let it warm up before you give it anymore that 2500 rpm

Hi guys dont know as much about cars as all of u do!

but mine does the same on and off since I bought it, had an engine flush and hasnt been serviced too long ago, it can be fine for ages then all of a sudden it starts losing power and juddering when accelerating or at idle. although it seems like its clogged up then after a while of driving it it can clear and i get a huge boooooost and it goes back to driving like normal! any ideas????

Cheers Tamara

The only fault code I have comes up now and then its temperature warning but happens mainly when car is cold, i then top up water chamber and it doesnt come on again for a little while, but i do have to do this more times than any other car ive had! only other problem im aware of is a small whirring noise for a second when i turn the car on (noisy starter motor possibly?)

not sure if any of these problems would be related but car started juddering today for a bit doesnt change if I turn it off and on again at all, but it did smell a bit funny today tho little bit like burning!!!!

How would I find out if there is a boost leak or faulty ignition amp tho?
