Climatronic help. SORTED

Anyone know what HE means on the climatronic?

Turn car on, temp comes up and cant adjust fans, after a minute or two temp disappears and HE come up then I can adjust fan speed?

Any ideas  :undecided:

Could be a faulty panel, see if you can get and try another one.

Bloody climatronic on this mk3, works for about a week then goes tits up  :angry:

Wouldn't mind if they were easy to get hold off.

Think I might have a spare panel will have a look and try. So frustrating. Great when it's working, pain in the a$$ when it's not  :rolleyes:

On the mk4 they have a self test mode, not sure if the mk3 is the same.

All very helpful answers  :rolleyes:  :grin:

Tried a different panel and did the same thing. Only way you can turn fan speed down/ up is by putting heat up to full then HE appears. Could it need regassing? :undecided:

Would a blown fuse stop the whole thing from working?

From what Ive just on a couple of different forums it could be worth checking out relay 140 as these can bring up fault codes when duff.

Even if it was out of gas, the control panel should still work as normal.
