I took the exhaust off a van wen I went thru one  :laugh:



2000 GTI 1.8t ARZ, S2000 filter, DSG intake, Forge 007 dv, Catch can, R-tech custom remap, 3" Supersize Silicone TIP, Powerflex dog bone, 'The Beast' FMIC, Ultimate delete, LCR fuel pump, 3" Turbo back, K03 hybrid, Ported Manifold, S3 injectors, 80mm maf = 280bhp 270lbft :evil:

If you going to run one then fit a better quality air filter, I have a carbonio kit on mine and it sounds awesome :grin:

ive driven through alot of puddles but not to the extent of 12 inches deep (the size from the floor to the bottom of my cold air induction filter)

my cars low so dont think it would be that high  :grin:

my mate had one with the same setup on his ep3 type r and it sucked up water and boom engine was fooked


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!


losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

I think it would need to be a deep puddle, I am carefull with mine but it is still a long way from the floor.

man you would want to check out the puddles we had in ireland last year lol torrential rain made a river burst its banks down at a mates house when i was there all the houses on the road got flooded included the neighbour that just had a basement built, had to of been around 20 cars and vans stuck just out side his house the water was up to my chest and no im not a midget im 5 foot 11

Wow this one time i went to the sea side and saw a massive puddle, it was called the sea yet i didnt drive through it.

after all the mixed reports of it does/doesnt make any difference, I just have a custom tube that runs next to the battery
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

when i had 1 on i couldnt avoid hittin a massive puddle once never had any issues after
