Best from a K03s
« on: 20 June 2012, 07:46 »
yet another thread, but wanted to get opinions

I am going to be fitting a K03s to my ARZ (currenly has a K03) other than the mods in my sig I also have these on my shoppin list but want to see if there are any benefits to upgradin other parts rather than the ones I am going to buy so:-

FMIC (the toyosports twin outlet one) with silicone or ali tubing it will be this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190602884505?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 or a custom one

TIP (was just thinkin is it worth going for one with a 3'' MAF as opposed to normal
Lambda sensor need doing so will do that

Dont want to go the K04 route as I have already bought the K03s

so would I actually benefit from different injectors, different FPR, different fuel pump etc?

Cheers

ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

im gonna be going the same route with the intercooler, just gotta find someone with one to get the same pipework,

dont think it is necesarry with a k03s for a 3" tip,

wont need fuel pump, and i dont think injectors would make much difference either

get a forge actuator on it, and a dwnpipe and decat, and prob exhaust if you were thinking about changing it, also catch can would be a good idea, and n249 bypass etc...

what ever you do thou and think you might change do it befor the remap, as i learned that anything you do change will throw the map out ind it wont run too great...... thus me going the k04 route

2000 GTI 1.8t ARZ, S2000 filter, DSG intake, Forge 007 dv, Catch can, R-tech custom remap, 3" Supersize Silicone TIP, Powerflex dog bone, 'The Beast' FMIC, Ultimate delete, LCR fuel pump, 3" Turbo back, K03 hybrid, Ported Manifold, S3 injectors, 80mm maf = 280bhp 270lbft

if its a new turbo then its optional to fit a forge actuator, as the spring will be strong enough in the new turbo's actuator.

ko3s(odviously)
uprated intercooler is a must
2.5 or 3" downpipe is a must
cat back exhaust system(but i have known people to run standard exhausts and just down pipe)

If its a AGU/ARZ KO3s generic map then you wont need a FP, injectors & MAF. but if your going custom map then id say yes take a FP, calibra Yellow injectors, forge actuator(optional if you have new turbo), 3" TIP or 80mm-70mm reducers & vr6 or LCR MAF. to make the most of the mapping.

Thanks for the advice guys, It'll be custom map, the guys at Carbon have helped me out so would always go back there, the only way I would go R Tech is if Carbon were too busy to fit me in, they are VERY atm

Cheers all
