Newbie 35
« on: 15 June 2012, 23:47 »
Hi Just to say hello to a soon to be GTI - 35 owner, having lashed out on a deposit today, and getting delivery before the end of the month

Ive also talked to Satnavsystems - compliments of this excellent forum, and they can supply a genuine VW 510 nav system - with DAB radio   for a fraction of the price that VW quote. My local VW dealer uses them for swap outs and upgrades, so I am confident the guy is ok, and am delighted that I can enjoy DABS with the 510 unit, which looks awesome. But is anyone has had any experiences good or bad with these people then I would be grateful to hear.

Not exactly all the toys I was looking for, but drive away   and only delivery miles -  spec as follows:

White
Steel Grey 18 alloys
510 Radio (at the moment )
Parking sensors + assist (wife made a face)
Lux pack

Great forum

Just now waiting to see if I will regret buying a white car !

Welcome and great choice of car  White looks fantastic (I had CW MK6) and is actually not too bad to keep clean especially if you have had black before

Welcome bud...

Na you won't regret it the CW looks the nuts, just make sure when you get it get protection on that paintwork and of course those wheels....

For the wheels I've used - Poorboys Sealant x 3 coats http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=pbwhs

For the paint - either Collinite 476s http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=c476s9

Or - Dodo SNH http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=DodoJuiceSNHybrid
with - http://www.waxamomo.co.uk/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=ddjlp

Both the lime prime as a base coat first then the SNH work really well together...

Oh yeah and Waxamomo offers a forum discount, look in the detailing section for codes ect...

Welcome! Crack open the wax as soon as you get her and it'll look the mutz nutz. But then I am biased! How many doors?

You'll love the forum, there's loads of ideas for inexpensive mods right up to the expensive stuff. I've found the forum and the people really helpful.

I'll let someone else mention the key ring -: whoops!

I have a white GTI it they look great you wont regret the colour.

I didnt think you could get the RNS 510 sat nav with DAB, thought you could only get that on the RCD 510, sure i read that on here somewhere.

i was never a fan of the DAB mainly as you lost the TIM function and TP never was as good
