roof rack
« on: 15 June 2012, 07:35 »
hi guys. i'm looking at getting a roof rack for my 1.8t gti but i'm not sure which ones would fit?
i'm pretty sure i don;t have the roof rails ontop of the roof for the racks to just slot into but will check when i go out in a bit.

can any of you recommend a roof rach you already have, and where did you buy it and how much for?

cheers

Thule do a set of racks that fit, they are what I use for surfboards, they attach by pulling up the rubber door seal on the too and attaching them to two pins underneath and then puttin the seal back.

They are a good bit of kit

I got universal ones of ebay £35, for the golf, fit the same way stu said, under the rubber seals and onto the pins. Can't fault them, they have took some abuse to for buying materials and transporting furniture and can't fault them.
