I didn't get any oil but I didn't really expect it or ask for it
I think I bought it delivered off eBay 8-9 quid, not bad at all, from a VW dealer

That's brillint if they do.

Is that just on GTI's or is it on every trim of Golf?

I wonder if it's just on the diesels then :undecided:

As said, check on handover day and if it's not there...just ask, I'm sure there give you a ltr of oil..

I didn't get any with my A3 2.0 TDI but yea just ask they'll have plenty there!
When I picked my car up I literally asked for the keys, said I don't need anything explaining and drove off. Took 5 mins! Lol
I'd already seen the car a day or two before and checked it all over

As I said.

VW used to supply new vehicles with a litre on the mk5 but more cost cutting they don't do it now. They also supplied a make shift cardboard funnel and gloves.

I picked it up yesterday and had great service from the dealer

He left me alone for around 10-20 mins so I could check the car over and even got the guy  who did the PDI to answer some questions I had about the Dynaudio speakers.

They also gave me two bottles of wine in the box and 1 ltr of oil so I could top it up.

As soon as I got it home (16:00), I wash it with the two bucket method and then put one coat of Chemical Guy's JetSeal 109 (Car and Wheels), then one coat of Collinite 476s Super Doublecoat Wax to the car (put it on to think as I took ages to get off), then 1 coat of PoorBoys Wheel Sealant.

Finished polishing the car at 21:30

Cheers for you help guys with the list of things to check, he did mention that I was one of the first customers he has seen with my own PDI checklist.

Your situation with being lied to about allocation is the extreme and something I wouldn't expect to happen very often just one bad egg.

Take a trip over to the mk 7 section. You may wish to revise this statement
