anniversary wheels offset question

as some of you no my mate james has bought a nice mk3 anni. what i want to no is do anni wheels have a diferant offset front and rear?
i ask this as his rear wheels seem to sit very far inside the arches and the front wheels sit pretty flush with the arches.

when i fitted my brand new lensos to my black golf i got them made with an offset of ET20 on all 4 wheels. and the fronts sat flush like his front wheels do and the rears needed a 15mm spacer to make them flush.

so i was thinking maybe his wheels sit like that do to the annis having a lower offset on the rear to make them all sit the same in the arches but maybe he has the fronts on the rear and the rear on the fronts. i can not see any spacers.

i no its probly a silly question and they are probly all the same offset but just seems odd to me that his fronts sit flush and the rears are very far in the arches.

Mk3 wheels are a different width to the mk4 version, so I wonder if has a mismatched set.

Standard they do sit far in, if you look at another one they really need a 10mm spacer.

his looks like it needs a bloody 20mm one

my rear wheels are the same,  i can only assume this is normal for all mk3 being cl gti or anni? like mention spacers will do the trick.

Oh yeah I no its normal on the rears of mk3s but his looks way more that 10mm. There's a big diferance between his and mine.

My anni wheels ate 7's they sit well in the arches at the rear
10mm spacer sorts them out

The offset will be stamped on the inside of the wheel, your best bet is to take one of each off and have a look.

Anni 7.0" wide RXIIs are ET43.
Mk4 6.5" wide RXIIS are ET42.
