Unless your going full out (like Toby 300+) a K04 seems not much more benefit than a decent mapped K03s and you need a boat load of extra mods and money
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

ok no worries.......
how much are the injectors mate?
just bought the ko4 thats all, that will be bolted on this weekend,
after some good brakes too? anyone got any for sale?
not going balls out like Toby, lol but id be happy with 250bhp, is this achievable? with a janspeed catback, forge 007p, and a decent map?

Like the others have said you need better supporting mods really.
without the supporting mods I very much doubt you would get 250

You really need a 3" turbo back system (preferably a decat, but then you have emissions on the MOT to worry about)
bigger injectors
bigger fuel pump
FMIC (Ideally)
3" MAF and different TIP

and thats a lot of money and work
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

as said you will need the supporting mods if it is an AGU to get 240+ and a custom map.. Awesome use APR maps and while there is a file for the K04-001 I'm not sure if it takes into account bigger injectors and MAF sensors.

A guy on here has 250bhp & 311ft-lb from a k04-001 and forge actuator with supporting mods and that was with a restrictive exhaust!. A decent flowing exhaust and ported manifold 260+ should be possible.
2003 1.8T GTI 180 - APR Stage I, S2000 Filter, R-Tech Supersize TIP, Bilstein B12 Suspension, 18" OZ Superleggera, Recaro Heated Leathers, US Spec Rear Lights, N249/SAI/PCV Delete

1.8T AUQ - 241bhp & 286 ft-lb
R-Tech Map, Forge FMIC, SFS Oversized TIP, Ported Manifold, Milltek Turboback non res exhaust, Forge 007p, N249 & N112 delete, SAI delete, S2000 Air Filter, Sachs clutch & Lightweight Flywheel

Take a look at my buid thread mate not up today's yet but got all my mods listed at the start
As said I have got 250 butt exhaust is restricting me massivly can see it on the graph, feel it and hear, my set up is pretty much the same as what nick at r tech had apart from the milltek exhaust which is next on my list an he was gettin about 280 bhp!

You can see how my torque peaks holds a tiny bit and then drops pretty much straight away, that's because my exhaust gasses can't get out quick enough so hopin to hold that a little more after gettin a good system.

I would go ths front mounted and injectors I got off of eBay  although bam injectors won't fit yours as its agu.
As said you want a tip really and try and port out your exhaust manifold when doing your turbo, will help spin it up a little faster

R-tech custom remap - k04-001- 250bhp/311ftlb

"Project track car" has begun
