air filter box
« on: 05 June 2012, 20:49 »
i changed my air filter and no matter what on the front of the air box i can still see some of the filter. i didnt check beforehand if it was like that before. it seals everywhere else but because theres no clips on the front i gather this is the reason

anyone else had this problem its a1.8 turbo

Mine was the same, just make sure the top is hooked in and then screw it down.

Mine does it too.

I put some self adhesive door insulation stuff (to stop drafts kinda stuff) around the gap.

Dunno if it would affect it that much but I don't have a gap anymore

Ive had this in the past when ive fitted a new one - You shouldnt see any.
