HELP.. CLUTCH RELATED ISSUE!!

LOL - the release lever prongs are playing on the pressure plate springs like Liberace on the ivories...

I'd say, the lack of a functioning release bearing.

right so it release bearing the same thing as the thrust bearing.. where is this on my model as its not on the input shaft.. It isthe new clutch thats made this problem worse

It is possible that the release bearing is still in there. It would have come away with the gearbox - attached to the release lever. You may not have noticed it because the rest of the clutch is on the engine side.

The symptoms you describe are classic for a knackered release bearing.

If the clutch is actually working (i.e. you can select first and drive away) it must still be in there. Liberace can thankfully stay in heaven...

Yeah it still drives fine.. gearbox is a little stiff though.. so could this just need a new release bearing not the whole clutch comin off again?? Is it the fact that i have fitted a new clutch and all it has done is amplified the problem?? will it still be ok to drive untill i can get it all apart again to replace the release bearing if i can find where it goes?

I've just taken it for a drive as the noise has gone and the clutch and gear box are working and the noise has gone and the gear box and clutch are working perfect again. But the oil light is flashing and beeping but it has oil n I have checked the sensors onto of the oil filter.
