HELP.. CLUTCH RELATED ISSUE!!

I have just changed the clutch in my Mk3 1.8SE.. All back together.. started it up and its now making a noise as if the thrust bearing was broken, but it was fine before i replaced the clutch.. As soon as i apply preassure to the clutch it goes.. Drives fine etc, just this terrible rattle/knock noise on tick over.

Any help appreciated..

Well the kit didnt come with one, and there wasnt one on the input shaft.. where is the thrust bearing?

This is the 3 piece clutch kit you should have been fitting to your 1.8, note - clutch cover, clutch plate and release bearing which fits on the input shaft and operated by the clutch lever through the bell housing.

thats not the kit that went on or came off mine.. it had no thrust bearing on the input shaft.. it was a kit with a little round plate it a big metal ring that held the little round plate on
