Surely worth that mate, once you've ravaged it for parts you'll recoup that in parts and scrap.

agree, if the engine is sound £250 is very very good! You'll get the money back from selling bits off your old engine, and breaking up the donor car, selling bits off then weighing it in.

This forum is a very back influence

Hmmm, il have a think about it tonight, n maybe go n have a look at it tomorrow. It's kinda of ideal apart from the timing, due to funds, I could afford it but it would be on the trusty credit card and the other half would need some sweet talking

Give her a slap and tell her to mind her own business.

Failing that you could always use the 'safer car tactic' like I do, tell her you need the extra power to do safer overtaking manoeuvres or something.

I have 16v engine box subframes radiator and Ecu I can accept the loom being needed but can I ask why have the immobiliser box and keys etc as wouldn't they only communicate between themselves and tell the Ecu that the key is coded to the box ??  And why the pump , does it run more pressure , Btw it's so much less hassle buying a 16v as I've just stripped one and what an absolute knightmare trying to get the loom out . I left it in the car got so p?@£&d off with it being all attached to the fuse board so if anyone wants a 16v engine box subframe etc then I've got one make me an offer
