Rubbish, the will fix it and you'll be happy as larry when it's back.

Don't let it spoil the car for you.

To be honest, because I had for such a short space of time it actually now feels like I never had it at all.  So when I do get it back it'll feel like I'm getting a brand new car all over again

That's a great attitude it's not as if the dealer would of purposefully let the car go out with a fault.

Well guys it's been over three weeks now since I took my Ed 35 in and it's been there ever since!!! Basically they've tried lots of different things and lots of different parts but without success.  Anyway I have an appointment at the dealers tomorrow when I'm going to officially reject the car  Having the car for 176 miles and 2 days before it goes wrong like this is totally out of order and I really think that 3+ weeks should be more than enough time to get this sorted out!

oooh nasty, when my car had to go back on day one, it was just a sensor fault.  Been happy as ever since.

If you waited a while for it, might be worth the dealer giving you something back...... before you think of rejecting it.

Just a thought.

Oh dear it must be bad if they have not fixed it yet. I agree rejecting the car now will allow you to start again and decide on your options. I rejected a Polo GTI 6R last year due to problems with the engine, best decision I made about that particular car. Both dealer and VW were happy to support me and gave me options to replace like for like, change to another model or walk away. I ordered the ED35
Current: GTI Edition 35 Candy White 5dr DSG 19" Glendale, RCD510+DAB, Dynaudio, Storage Pack, Parking Sensors

Gone: Edition 35, GTI Mk6, Edition 30, GTI Mk4, GTI Mk3, GTI Mk2 and my favourite the UR quattro
For those that dont know DSG is an electronically controlled dual-clutch multiple-shaft manual gearbox

Looks like Carcraft or somewhere similar will be getting an ED35 sometime soon then.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I rejected a MINI last year for engine problems (needed a brand new engine after 3 months). Long story short wasn't given an "official" rejection but was given my money back which we put towards another MINI for the family.

As great a car as it may be, sometimes it's best to walk away. If the worst comes to the worst you can always place the exact same order again.

I'll know for sure tomorrow afternoon, but the plan at the moment is to order a replacement with identical options etc.  The only difference is I'm going for Shadow Blue instead of Tornado Red. The car I've just rejected is the only red car I've ever owned - and it'll be the last!
